Kelly Downes is a bit of a local hockey legend here in Regina. Through tremendous hardship in his life, Kelly began GT&R Goaltending Training & Rehab, widely known as Saskatchewan’s Premium Goaltender Training & Rahabilitation Program. Kelly shares his life story, his encouraging words to amputees, and most importantly, his incredible knowledge of hockey to young goaltenders of all skill level across Saskatchewan.

Kelly wanted a site that not only showcased his love of the game, he also wanted something that really sold GT&R as a brand. Deep blues, blacks, and whites. Strong hockey colours with quality imagery. Kelly coaxed Corbin out to strap on his skates and join one of his 7:00am session to shoot photos and really get what GT&R is about.

The site includes a custom built team section, a custom services section, and a custom built goaltender courses section, which allows Kelly to easily update upcoming courses that goaltenders can sign up to. Having heard Kelly’s unique story, we strongly encouraged him to start blogging. While slightly nervous about it all at first, Kelly really walked into the world of writing and let it all go.
