The Gazette is the Dalhousie University student-run newspaper and is the oldest of it’s kind in North America (awesome, right?). We were approached by the Gazette to completely redo their website and we really wanted to focus on two main issues. In the past, the Gazette website was not only confusing and hard to understand for the end-user but it was just as hard for the Gazette staff to use. With the redesign we focussed on a clean and easy-to-navigate user interface for the readers, and a backend that was just as easy to use for the writers and contributors of the newspaper. Oh, and we also decided to make the website responsive, ensuring reading is easy on the eyes for iPhone, iPad, Blackberry & Android. Pretty swell, huh?
